Organizational Description 
USA Track & Field Georgia Association is the governing body for the sport of track and field, road running 
and race walking in the state of Georgia.  A volunteer-driven, non-profit 501c (3) with over 3,600 members, 
our mission is to further the sport of track and field by providing quality competition for youth, open and 
master athletes, from grassroots to the Olympic Games.
Objective 
USATFGA is looking for a dynamic motivated interns interested in exploring a career in social media 
marketing and communications management.  The objective of this internship are to provide a setting in 
which you will grow, develop and enhance professional working skills in a fun and positive work 
environment. This is a collaborative environment, new ideas and innovations are encouraged.  Internship 
positions are offered for the Spring, Summer, or Winter Semesters. To be eligible for this internship, you 
must be able to receive High School or college credit. This internship is unpaid.
This internship will focus on:
 Work towards increasing registration revenue through Social Media
 Marketing & promotion of USATFGA
 Increasing USATFGA internal and external awareness
 Contribute to USATFGA Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and YouTube posts
 Social Media Community Management
 Member Engagement through Social Media platforms
 Facebook Campaigns
 Collaborating with the Sports Committees
 Always bringing creative ideas to the table
 Contributing to Monthly Newsletter
 Creating fun content for social media, blogging & newsletters
Qualifications:
Must be a High School, college/university student working towards a High School Diploma or degree; 
preferred majors: Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Sports Management or Advertising.
 Self-motivated and eager to learn
 Exciting and fun writing skills
 Basic knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Google+, LinkedIn, and FourSquare,
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Comfortable with phone communication
 Responsible, Flexible and energetic
 Organized & detail oriented
 Comfortable to work independently and collaboratively
 Proficient with Microsoft Suite and Google Docs
 Creative thinker
 Have the ability to travel as needed throughout Georgia
