The Georgia Track & Field Committee is charged with supervising, controlling, coordinating, and encouraging Track & Field activity for women and men, over the age of 18, including:

• Track events - running events conducted on a 400 meter track - from sprints up to 400m; middle distance to 3,000m; and long distance to 5,000m. Other events include steeplechase, hurdles and relays.
• Field events - throwing events that include shot put, hammer throw, javelin, and discus; and jumping events that include high jump, pole vault, long jump, and triple jump.
